Building in Public

Three weeks after founding Autonomy AI, we're working on two products simultaneously: Autonomy Receptionist (AI phone assistant) and Autonomy PricePulse (price tracking with alerts).

Both are early-stage and in limited beta testing. Here's the current state of each.

Autonomy Receptionist: Voice AI for Small Business

Receptionist is further along. It's handling real phone calls for a few beta customers—answering calls, taking messages, and routing to the right person.

What's working:

Natural conversation flow (using GPT-4 for understanding)
Sub-2-second response times most of the time
Voicemail transcription and SMS delivery
Basic scheduling and routing

What needs work:

Better handling of complex questions
More reliable webhook delivery
Improved error recovery when APIs are slow

A few small businesses are testing it after-hours to catch leads they'd normally miss. Early feedback is positive but there's a lot to improve.

Autonomy PricePulse: Smarter Price Tracking

PricePulse is earlier. The core tech is working—we're tracking prices on Amazon using the Keepa API and scoring deals based on historical data.

What's working:

Price tracking across products
Deal scoring with historical analysis
Basic alert system (email for now)

What needs work:

Voice alerts (the big differentiator)
Better persona customization
Multi-retailer support beyond Amazon
Subscription billing infrastructure

We have about a dozen friends testing it, mostly tracking tech products and home goods.

Why Two Products at Once?

Honestly, it's probably ambitious for a solo founder. But both products share the same core idea: AI that acts proactively instead of waiting to be asked.

Receptionist acts on incoming calls. PricePulse acts on price drops. Same philosophy, different contexts.

What's Next

Over the next month:

Get Receptionist solid enough for broader beta
Ship voice alerts for PricePulse
Set up proper billing for both products
Onboard 20-30 beta customers total

The goal isn't to be perfect—it's to learn fast and build something people actually want to use.
